Our Heritage
Where it all started
Stellies was conceived on an adventure and born from a backpack; the first 100 vests produced in 2011 by our founder Jacques D. had big bold letters and a red heart: "I ❤️ STELLIES". It spoke the same language as Stellies does today. Even though it was not as thoughtfully produced as our pieces since that first try, it sparked the idea of Stelles Authentic Clothing as people kept asking Jacques where to get these vests.
From there, Jacques teamed up with his housemate at the time, Chris, to help build Stellies and set up stalls at local markets. In 2016, Stellies graduated from humble markets to a premium retail brand.
Inspired by adventure.
Stellies is inspired by going on adventures, taking risks, and living the life you'll always remember. After all, it’s our experiences that shape who we are, and you need clothing that can keep up and help you feel comfortable no matter where you are.
We believe that clothing isn’t just something you wear; it’s a statement of how you choose to live.
Born from a passion for adventure, creativity, and fearless self-expression, our brand was built for those who refuse to settle for the ordinary. Whether you're chasing sunsets, conquering new heights, or simply making memories with the people who matter most.
Our apparel is designed to move with you, inspire confidence, and remind you to live boldly.
We’re not just about fashion, we’re about making a difference.
That’s why most pieces are proudly made in South Africa, supporting local craftsmanship and ethical production. Instead of importing from overseas, we invest in homegrown talent, creating opportunities and building a brand that contributes to something bigger than just clothing.
Every stitch, every design, and every fabric choice reflects our belief that life should be lived with no regrets, that every day should be one worth remembering. Our collections embody the spirit of those who dare to dream, push boundaries, and write their own stories.
Because in the end, it’s not about the clothes, it’s about the life you live in them.
